Biography:

Michael White was born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1948. He began his professional career working with probation and welfare recipients, and he completed his undergraduate degree in social work at the University of South Australia in 1979. Michael White, a social worker and family therapist who developed an innovative and highly practical technique using storytelling to help patients of all ages deal with childhood traumas. He was a science editor of British GQ, a columnist for the Sunday Express in London and, 'in a previous incarnation', he was a member of the band the Thompson Twins (1982).
